TRS has developed a comprehensive range of technologies to extract performance powder from scrap tyres.
Under the name Tyrexol, 3 unique ways:
- Up to 50% savings in process and production costs for customers using Tyrexol.
- Drastically reduced carbon footprint through the reuse of rubber
- Inclusive business model that integrates bowl rollers in the value chain
With Tyrexol and tailor-made compounding solutions, TRS has brought a new type of eco-technological material to the market. Tyrexol can be used to modify and improve materials such as rubber (incl. tyres), TPE, bitumen, etc.

What are the environmental benefits of your solution?
Over 2 billion tyres (approx. 30.8 million tonnes) are produced annually. The majority of this is used as alternative combustion accelerants in cement plants. Only a fraction is recycled back into the value chain. TRS modular system of technologies enables 100 per cent recycling of used tyres.
Since 2021, TRS has supplied one of Switzerland’s largest manufacturers of waterproofing membranes, replacing petrochemically derived SBS with a second-generation material. This is an application example that will support the Swiss 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
How do you manage to exist on the market?
TRS has not yet reached its break-even point and is supported by investors. Trinseo, a leading supplier to the tyre industry, recently secured shares in TRS.
