Did you know that…

The special films we use to split light have long been used in other industries—for example, to filter UV and infrared light in glass skyscrapers (which is why we don’t overheat or get sunburned inside them)?

At Voltiris, we’ve developed a new generation of these films, specifically designed to selectively transmit the light needed for plant photosynthesis while redirecting the rest to produce solar energy. This breakthrough was made possible in collaboration with our industrial partner, 3M.
