Electric melting furnace for stone wool

Flumroc’s electric melting furnace for stone wool is powered entirely by electricity from Swiss hydropower. By using the furnace, the company is reducing CO2 emissions from stone melting by 80%. This amounts to around 25,000 tons of CO2 per year.
