A space-saving and sustainable new building? In the vertical factory of Komax, technology leader for automated wire processing, development, production and administration are located on six floors in close proximity to each other. The shape and construction of the building support energy and climate aspects, such as natural ventilation and lighting, thermal insulation in summer and cooling at night – this has made it possible to use building technology in an economical way.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Komax\u2019s vertical factory is an example of how resource-saving, spatial densification can be implemented in industrial areas.<\/p>\n

The production and development building is designed as a sustainability-enhancing system. In addition to the minimized land consumption (utilization rate of approx. 6.0) and the compact volume, the fa\u00e7ade and the energy-optimized building services concept contribute to this.<\/p>\n

The production of Komax\u2019s high-tech machines finds a contemporary home in a climate-adapted low-tech architecture.
