How would you describe your solution in a few words?
Post-Corona, many companies have too much space and want to monetise the unused workspaces. On the other hand, small businesses or teams need an office or home base to see each other in person. We “match” these two on our platform. Clients can reserve workplaces for their team in just a few clicks. On a daily or monthly basis for specific days of the week (e.g. 4 spaces only on Mondays and Wednesdays).
Who are your customers?
- Micro companies (1-10 FTE): Work together + meet partners.
- Larger companies that do not have offices where some of their employees live.
- Start-ups: Work together a few days per week.
- Freelancers: Want to work very focused + meet partners.
What are the environmental benefits of your solution?
Our start-up aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Source of saving: Greenhouse gas emissions from buildings.
In 2019, commercial buildings (Switzerland only!) have produced roughly 4 million tonnes of CO₂eq (mainly through heating (room temperature and water)). Since about 2000, this number is constantly decreasing and we would like to further reduce these emissions, up to 2% per year. That represents a saving of 80’000 tonnes of CO₂eq per year.
How do you manage to exist on the market?
Deski’s offer came at the right time and meets a strong need for small businesses or teams to meet in person a few days a week. Our business model is 100% based on the sharing economy, as we use existing spaces. This model offers many advantages, both for our clients and for our partner offices. Furthermore, the aspect of sustainability is becoming increasingly important for many companies, which speaks in favour of our solution.
